In the first part of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn we learn a lot about him. Huck lives with a widow, and didn't hear from his dad until he found a bunch of money. My childhood is in a lot of ways very different from Huck's. For starters I live with both my parents, when Huck doesn't live with either of them. Huck has a very confused opinion on religion. Hes has two different people telling him about heaven and hell that he thinks heaven is boring and hell would be more fun. As a child I grew up in the church. My opinion of it has never been blurred. Huck's child hood does have some similarity to mine. He has a friend that doesn't always understand him, but what little kid doesn't. When your a kid you meet someone and they're your best friend. He plays pretend games in the woods, just like any other kid. Another difference would be that Huck grew up in the time of slavery. Like me he knew it was wrong but I never actually saw it, and lived through it.
